A Cascade Short: ‘Throw poi’

Keith waiting patiently.

Lets keep it short.

Plans have been brewing here at Cascade.

And as the snow melts, we can’t even wait with bated breath for the expected puddles to come and go.

We were missing the connection with the Circus and Magic communities too much this year gone past. So we’ve been trying to find more ways to highlight and celebrate some of the incredible people we’ve been fortunate enough to meet over the years.

And then it struck us!

Make more videos!

And so we have, or at least, we’ve begun!

Antonia shows off some funky shapes.

While we need to follow local lockdown guidelines and stick close to the shop for the moment. We do hope to be able to travel and film around the rest of the country again soon. There are even plans to showcase amazing skills from communities outside of Scotland.

Expect cool locations, slick shots, dynamic cuts, and skills to make your mouth water.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Colin ventured out, braving the brisk February weather, to meet Edinburgh residents, ‘Throw Poi’.

The all juggling, all teaching, sometimes dancing, purveyors of poi-passing wizardry, Keith and Antonia.

Checking distance before throwing things around is usually a good idea.

Both of these talented jugglers are well known amongst the local and international community for their stylish moves and mind-bending tricks. Forever pushing the boundaries of what is possible, both in terms of technique and creativity, their tricks have been amazing audiences all over for years.

It was an absolute joy to be able to spend time with this duo and record them in their element.

Now sit back, relax, hit play and enjoy the silky smooth skills of Throw Poi.
