We are continuing on with our dedication to donating 1% of our sales to good causes.
Recently we were excited to give to Scotland based organisation ‘Trees for Life’. Their mission is to rewild the Scottish Highlands by restoring the unique Caledonian Forest which once covered much of Scotland. Tree-planting and forestry management, is also mixed with a lot of other conservation projects, including aims to re-introduce some native species back in to the wild, such as the Eurasian Lynx.
The new wild forest they are working to create will benefit everyone: helping to reduce the impacts of climate change by storing carbon; preventing flooding and erosion by holding back water after rain and; providing opportunities for hundreds of thousands of people to experience and be inspired by wild nature.
And over the last 10 years they have also been partnering with other charities around Scotland, to enable groups of people to experience the healing powers of nature, and its ability to take us out of the minute to minute demands and stresses of life and into a calmer, simpler place.
As part of our donation, Cascade now has a grove of trees around the main site at Dundreggan. While we don’t have the joy of picking which species of trees or whereabouts exactly they will be planted. Whenever we next head to Dundreggan, we will know we helped to lay roots there for generations to come.
